Disney Reveals Schedule for Upcoming Marvel Films and Live-Action Remakes

Looks like the success of Black Panther gave Marvel Studios and Disney the courage to introduce their (long) list of upcoming films. But truth be told, nobody’s complaining.

Every Marvel Cinematic Universe fan spent a joyous weekend after Disney revealed schedule for upcoming Marvel films and other live-action movies set to conquer the big screen. Disney lined up their movie release date calendar through 2023, and although a significant number of these upcoming Disney films remain untitled, it didn’t stop cinemaphiles from rejoicing over such an exciting news.

Here are the films Disney is set to debut soon.

Avengers - Infinity War

Schedule Released for Upcoming Disney Films

With Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 culminting MCU’s Phase 3, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is now expected to open Phase 4. The film is scheduled for a July 2020 release. With this comes a slew of¬†other Marvel films, some of which are sequels of successful films like Spider-Man: Homecoming, Black Panther, and Doctor Strange. It is safe to say these¬†movies will hit theaters in 2021 or 2022.

On the other hand, the highly aniticipated live-action remake of the 1998 film Mulan, starring Chinese actress Crystal Liu, has been pushed back from November 2018 to spring 2020. The Anna Kendrick film Noelle, which was previously reported to hit theaters in November 2019, has now been removed from the schedule. Instead it was added to Disney’s streaming service lineup, which boasts other exciting features like Don Quixote, Lady in the Tramp, The Paper Magician, Stargirl, Togo, 3 Men and a Baby, and TV shows like High School Musical, Monsters Inc. series, and Star Wars and Marvel movies.

Speaking of live-action movies, upcoming Disney films Aladdin, Christopher Robin, The Lion King, Pinocchio, Oliver Twist, and Cruella are just few of the remakes the distribution company is about to introduce to the world.

With the release of the schedule, Disney is only heightening the excitement that is already enveloping fans from all around the world. While there are still films that are yet to get an exact release date and title, we can all trust that whatever Disney has in store for us, they’ll be all worth sitting through.
